@ericdibosco I was doing a walk n' wander with friends who still live in the city post earthquake. A reflective time as this was an area i hung out at for a few days a few months prior to the quakes. The city has vast baron areas - and apart from a couple of landmarks - its hard to decipher where you are in relation to the old city. Kind of looks like a huge parking lot…. or as another person suggested - a war zone without the snippers.
Having said that - parts of the city are coming alive in a new way. So one way of capturing the big picture is to to capture the macro by shooting the micro…..
There is a village in the UK called Christchurch, I lived near it when I was growing up, and it always gave me an affinity with Christchurch in NZ that has remained with me. I wish every success to those affected and rebuilding this lovely city. It seems there is much to do from your shot.
