My Get-pushed challenge this week was "all about the lighting.. high or low key.. bright or moody.." (in case its not obvious .. I was trying for high key end of the scale)
I'm hoping this ticks the box
Two keen boogie boarders on a spring day
@graemestevens thats good feedback. Just for my learning.. can you elaborate.. if you can be bothered! :).. i'm a bit of a novice on these types of shots..
@brigette so am I...I like the "white" of this version, whereas the other one seems a bit dull (for want of a better word) to my elderly eyes. I love the "sheen" of the wash on the sand as well, seems to look a lot better in this version. I'm probably not making sense!
@graemestevens Yip! makes sense. I tend to prefer low key - which is probably why i preferred the other. Never really done much high key. Great comments and feedback!
@brigette You're welcome - I tend to shy away from high key, at least out of doors! Something I should try more of but it's difficult to be creepy on a beach!
@brigette You're probably right - and the police are doing regular raids on our beaches down here at the moment thanks to a group of "gentlemen" performing lewd acts on each other in public places. So often that one of our beaches in now known as "Gay Bay"...
I prefer that version. Like Graeme I like the white and in contrast to that the real black silhouttes. This is like the feeling of sitting at the beach, shielding your eyes against the sun and the only things you can see are the reflections on the water and silhouettes.
