Actually it’s a bandage. Last week Ruby somehow tore her paw pad which required surgery to mend. The vet put this bandage on as interim before the surgery to protect her foot.
Still has to remain indoors for another 4 days 🐾
Poor thing - Wiz had a habit of tearing out his dew claws while running (mainly because he was slightly uncoordinated) and the last time he ended up with a bandage like this on that pulled at his hair and was, according to him, extremely uncomfortable to wear. That's probably why he ate it off overnight.
