How do i get out of here

A couple of weeks ago Ruby tore off her paw pad - and since then we've had several trips to the vet as it is very slow in healing, and hopefully growing back. She had a procedure to try and stitch the remaining tissue.
We were back today because it keeps bleeding. With the threat of toe amputation hanging over her, the Vet said they do try and avoid that if possible.
It seems the main thing slowing down her progress is her excessive washing! So I had to put a collar of shame on her.
This afternoon, after a morning in the laundry to settle her down along with some temgesic - she bolted out of the house - almost flying through an open window and was gone for 6 hours. She returned late this evening - minus the collar. Little does she know I'll be getting her another one tomorrow
Paw pads are notoriously difficult to heal but they do get there...mainly with the assistance of the cone of shame. Tell Ruby to suck it up ;)

@graemestevens
haha - thanks for that reassurance.. such a pain. If she stopped cleaning so much. Today she had blood on her chin - that obviously came from licking her foot.
It actually was quite funny the speed in which she bolted out of the window. I wonder how long it took her to remove the cone. Geez , this will be the third i've bought her

@brigette The things we do...it got to the point with Lucy that when ever she saw the vet, even out of the context of the clinic, that she would turn her back on him and refuse to "speak or look" :))

@graemestevens oh poor Lucy
That’s very funny. Ruby tried to do a runner from the vet consult room 😂
I found the collar in the garden this morning but in the mean time put a spare on her. She seems to be more accepting now and is sulking rather than panicking

@brigette For some reason one of the most horrific things that can happen to a person is to be given the silent treatment by your pet ;)

Precious baby... What a painful accident that would be! She looks like a clone of my Tigger...who Joan Robilard @joansmor says looks just like her cat, Two, and Denise Woods says they look like her cat (whose name escapes me!) They're wonderful babies, but it's so impossible to explain how we're just trying to help! ♥

@brigette I showed Ken and said if we had a room full of these, we'd be hard-pressed to pick out our own! I'd never really noticed it before! They're so detailed, but the details all look the same!
