All very true observations... I took these wild roses from the street side of someone's fence when I did my first visit to mum... I don't know for how long the graveside is still a pile of dirt... so i placed these pretty flowers on top. and then sat on the grass spoke with her for a bit and had a cry.....
@brigette Sharing "found flowers" is a good thing -- and it seems to have brought brightness to the place. I'm glad you have a place where you can go and speak to your mother, if you can't have your presence in real life.

I feel sorrow and loss
