I took this photo of mum's hands 7 years ago and it remains one of my favourites - especially now that she has gone.
Grateful to have a bit of an archive as today we are back into lockdown.. for 72 hours.. but really who knows at this stage if it will be extended or not.
That's a gorgeous way to remember your mum. My dad's not in good shape at the moment, and I'd love to get a similar shot of his once very strong and capable hands. I can't bring myself to do it though.
@jamibann Oh you should! My mother only died last year.. but I'm so glad I did this 7 years ago.. It wasn't super planned.. but she was happy for me to take photos ... Ask him.. at worst he'll just say no.. at best you'll have a lovely keep sake
@s4sayer So many roles.. mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend, aunt, grandmother, teacher, volunteer, pianist, cook, gardener, reader, knitter, sew-er, baker, crossword-puzzler...... She died age 85 November last year.. I really treasure this photo
