Aunt Bobby by brillomick

Aunt Bobby

I had a great Aunt. Her name was Bobby Witt and she was responsible for my love of the Birds. She lived in our family homestead in Bedford, Virginia near the Peaks Of Otter in the foothills of the Mountains. I would spend a couple of weeks with her every Summer and have the run of the 137 acres. I learned so much about nature from her. She taught remedial reading to those who needed it, and at the age of 65 received her Masters degree and became a Principal at the local school! Thinking of her today, so posting one of her paintings!!
What a treasure!

Nice painting. Your aunt sounds like a wonderful person. There's a woman in my photography club who is from Bedford VA. We also enjoyed a few days at the Peaks of Otter Lodge and ventured down into Bedfor.

@allie912 @pandorasecho @randystreat Thank you all. Sad as the farm I believe is a housing sub-division now!
