There's a disease wiping out ash trees in England and they're actually protected. We've a few that have self seeded and suddenly we feel like we're an arboretum!

Diseased trees can be dangerous when they get weak and fall. Like you before and after shots.

That's too bad.... it was a beautiful tree. But you will have a lot of extra light now :)

It's a shame big trees have to be felled, but it's safer for your home and probably from the looks of things your neighbors' homes too.
