I have never been to Brooklyn before. The waterfront is much gentrified and very pleasant. The city views from the waterfront are fantastic. We walked the length of the Brooklyn Bridge today, I will post a photo from the bridge tomorrow. This is the Manhattan Bridge shot from the Brooklyn Shore near Jane's Carousel.
I went twice to Dumbo. There’s a cool photography gallery there. And I totally agree on the pleasantness of the waterfront. Is the old fashioned merry-go-round still there?
@domenicododaro I never have been with a group who loves cameras like this one. They all pay lots of visits to the pusher! Jim spent lots of time talking about Phase One digital back and Fuji medium format comparisons. His pusher sells systems to museums for making digital copies of paintings. Fuji system, $12K. Phase One system, $60K! Jim was shooting a Leica M10P (?) and just purchased an Alpa Medium Format kit. Raj was shooting a Sony digital with a Zeiss Contarex lens and the lens has ball bearings in the focus mechanism. Jeff was shooting Nikon digital, and Pramodh was shooting a Bessa R with Voigtlander screw mount lens along with a micro four thirds kit. The Olympus 4/3 was taken for its weatherproofing. Pramodh says when his camera gets dirty he puts it in the shower to clean it, lens and all! The new Fuji GF did not see the light of day due to the weather. I am tired and sore from the prodigious walking. Hopefully you can meet up with all of us in the near future. L.
@brotherone It must have been real fun. I do hope so, too! You can’t imagine how much... Good news is: next Thursday I will get my Johnson & Johnson vaccine! A first step forward
