Negative Positivity

First home developed roll from the marvelous Pentax 645 NII. 16 shots on a roll of 120 and all look well exposed. I'll post some of the images over the next few days after the roll is scanned. One of the film backs has gone kaput and wasted a roll, it made a wrenching grinding noise and thankfully caused no damage. The camera is a joy to use and the Takumar lenses are as always, wonderful. You can adapt old Pentax Takumars to your digital camera using a cheap adapter. They are some of the finest lenses ever made. Particularly good are the old M42 screw mount lenses. A good place to start is the marvelous 50/1/4, bearing in mind that there may be yellowing from radioactive elements (not unsafe). This tremendous lens can be purchased for under $50 and an adapter for $25. It will blow away any other 50mm lens in your bag. If your copy is yellowed, put it in a sunny window for a few days in top of a piece of aluminum foil with both caps removed and the yellowing will go away. These images were shot with the stock 75mm N (autofocus) lens, equivalent roughly to 50mm in 35mm format.
