For so many, the world shrinks into this small 5X3 sliver of metal. I don't understand this, and never will. This was shot in the new casino in Boston. To get there, one travels the hard scrabble streets of Everett into which this opulent casino fantasia was plunked. I wandered around after midnight among the raucous crowds. It did feel good to be in a lively place after such a long period away from such a thing. I met a young couple, three sheets to the wind and she was Portuguese and he was Irish and I, probably 40 years older than them, was the image of their eventual offspring. We had a good laugh, and I should have taken their picture....
