So I took this same POV yesterday but found a better image to post so I took it again today and it's not half as good. I was going to post yesterdays abstract shot instead but I guess that's cheating. Is it?
No, it's not cheating. Like I've been told many times on here by the members of this wonderful community, it's your project, you use it how you like. Personally I like this image. It's very cool 😊😊
I like this too - it's fun. It's only cheating if you set yourself the goal of having each picture taken only on the day you post it. Some do, some don't.
@casablanca@paul10 Yeah thanks guys. I really don't want to post pics that I've not taken on the specific day but it's still early days into the project so I'm going to see how it goes. What do you do?
Normally take one and post it the same day myself, but some people struggle with that because of busyness and not being able to get at the internet. Sometimes you see people publishing what they call "fillers" and that normally means one taken at a different day, sometimes months or years ago, because they don't have time for a shot that day. The original idea is supposed to be like a diary of something in that day, it doesn't have to be a great photo, just a memory jogger for where you were and what you did that day. I am trying to stick with that so far.
@casablanca Thanks. That's my plan as well. Back in 2012 I had a week abroad and didn't take my laptop with me so I posted fillers that week. But I'd made that choice and I was cool with it. #MyProjectMyRules :)
I say set your own rules and do whatever you want to do :) (mind you ive failed this project multiple times so I'm not the best person to give advice haha)

I try to take the shot the day I post it but I do work 12 hour shifts and by the third day of work I might not be able to think about photography. So, I am kind to myself and do not strive for perfection. This project is not about adding to my life stressors but prodding me to pick up my camera regularly.
@browngirl@colorfade@donnarichards understand what you say about posting photos on the day they are posted - sticking to our personal 'rules' - some days one finds oneself surrounded by fabulous opportunities - location, lighting - And some days ..... for me are flat - and on at least two days since January I put in a filler - a photo I'm using for a no day. I notice how I bend my 'rules' Thanks for bringing up the subject.

@colorfade Also Andrea, this is a pic of a shop window - I think it's got tape on the windows making the pattern. And inside is the neon lighted art installation.
