So I just discovered that I love mulled wine. I’m not a drinker so have generally stayed clear of wine in the past. This Christmas I thought I’d do my own. Cinnamon, star anise, cloves, orange quarters and of course the red wine. People have suggested that I should add port or brandy to it also but I don’t have any. The verdict? It was okay. Not mind blowing. Hubby hated it. Not sure I’ll finish the rest but I’ll hold onto it in case I have guests round.
In Germany they call it Glühwein and it has all the above and is usually quite sweetened as well. To me, it is too sweet. I like your representational photo of the ingredients - has to be Glühwein!!
