I found this little piece of bark about 30 years ago and have kept is high on top of a shelf in the living room where the little grand -children couldn't touch it. it is surprising that the moss has not wilted or fallen off in all this time. i am very careful when dusting the cabinet and handle it as little as possible hoping to keep this little piece of nature for many many more years to come.
How interesting to keep such a treasure all this time...often things like this get lost in the shuffle of everyday life. This obviously is important enough for you to have taken great care of it over the years.
Bruni, we have just been taking the backroads rather than the interstate highways when going places. And yes, I had passed this way before but had never noticed this house before...even though it sits quite close to the road...guess my new 365 eyes are sharper than my pre-365 eyes were!
I'm puzzled...you wrote, "When I say our golden age I meant my age...not yours of course" on one of my photos, and I can't figure out what comment it refers to. Did I miss one?
The plant on my 365 is a Bromeliad - aechmea amosepala
