We visited the Roentgen Museum while on vacation in Germany.
W. C. Roentgen used to be an avid photographer and this is a display of his very first camera.
more tomorrow about the inventor of the Roentgan (EX RAY) machine
@blueburn11 We didn't ask.. you browse around in the museum on your own. would've been interesting to know..he lived from 1845 to 1923 so it could be quite old.
Those where the days. I love it because in that time you easely can anderstand how/whay somethings works. great pic for the theme.
Thanks for you so kind words.
I am very sorry to be so behind on your pix and life. Things have been crazy - red gamer has a sinus infection and has been sick for weeks. He finally went on antibiotics last week and seems to be a bit better, but it has been a slow process. I know you know what it's like to have your child sick.
i wish my German were better. Ich habe Deutsch über vor 20 Jahren studiert - so it's pretty rusty. Since I have lived near the Mexican border, Spanish has become more important in my day to day life than German. Red gamer is studying French at school, so I am learning a bit of French, but not much. The world is full of languages and has grown so much smaller that we need to speak several languages.I wish I were fluent in something besides English. I admire you for learning another language and becoming fluent. You are awesome!
@pinktornado39 Danke mir geht es gut. I'm quite surprised and very happy over this let's call it personal "talk.. Yes the world gets smaller and smaller all the time..just think of all of us commenting on pictures and places which are so far away from us and which we most likely will never see or experience in our lifetime. I wish I learned more than just English..maybe Spanish as we vacation in Mexico quite a bit. my husband can understand and speak it a bit and will get the meaning of what people are saying in Spanich..I guess I'm too old to learn now. I think I do pretty good with my English as you said. .maybe the odd wrong word or not the right sentense structure. .English is an easier language to learn than German and although we were born in Germany we speak 95% of the time English at home..
I must tell you that I enjoy your son's pictures..he is really getting quite good at it.. when he stopped posting in January and none in February I must not have clicked on his name too often and I see now that I have missed a lot of his pictures but I'm on it again and he can hear from me more often... .so sorry that he is sick..I find when the kids go to school or kindergarten they get a lot more infections...I see it now
with our granddaughter Shayelynne..she seems to be a bit more
susceptible. ... so Laura this is it for now...I don't know what time it is where you are but its time for me to relax a bit and watch one of my favorite shows..so I say thank you for your lines and wish you a good day/night.
Thanks for you so kind words.
