SOMETHING OLD.

When we were in Orillia in that great Mariposa Market we saw these on display on the way to ladies room..of course I had to take a picture of them.
I had a treadle sewing machine like this until a few years ago!

@robinwarner I think they're old washing machines- right Bruni?

I love this old stuff!! And it always makes me smile to think this was modern convience until the motorized versions came along! Good capture! (And of course they'd put them near the LADIES room!)

@snowy Yes Diana we had one too at home. when I came here I bought a electric Singer sewing machine.

@robinwarner @bruni Sorry I think I mentioned it in my tags for this picture. yes they were old washing machines. the one was filled with something I think maybe they were going to plant some flowers in it.

wow, great finds. my stepmother used old sewing machines to do leather work when she and my dad bought a motorcycle repair shop back in the 1970. fixed jackets and chaps for the riders - the old machines were the only ones strong enough to handle the leather.

Gosh! I remember my grandmother's washer as well...these old machines must have been a hit with us young ones!! LOL

My mothers first washing machine was a timber made one the second looks like the green one on you pic. She also use the sewins machine Lovely reminder pic.
