Christmas countdown - day 4.
Early this morning when I woke up I went into the living room to look for my glasses..I alwasy leave them somewhere behind. well I coundn't believe my eyes...here was Santa Claus sound asleep in one of our Christmas decorations...everything was thown out of the little basket... looks like it was just about big enough for him to fit in..he even took a doile to cover himself with. he probably ate some of the cookies and thought I rest for awhile but fell asleep. you see usually he sends one of his helpers to check out our Christmas tree..he knows we have real wax candles on the tree and likes to make sure they are all straight and away from other twigs so the flame of the candle can't accidentially reach one above..well he should know by now that we always have our fire extinguisher right handy next to the tree and also that one of us is always in the room when the candle are on..but I think if's awful nice of him to send a helper to check on us..looks like they were all too busy at the North Pole so Santa hitched his sleigh and came riding over himself.
when I returned from the kitchen he was gone with a half eaten cookie left behind. of course I had to tell Hans about it but he just shook his head and thought I was fibbing.
You have photographic proof and he still didnt believe you??? he is hard core aint he....
well its a shame Santa wont be bringing him any presents this year ....... someone who doesnt exist cant leave a present now cant he???
LOVE IT! keep this for the grandkids. what a wonderful story, Bruni. The men must eat some more cookies to get sweetened up for the holidays. Perhaps some fudge would help?
What a great "helper" you have there . . and then to get this capture of him! He could eat all the cookies that he wanted in my house. I'd love his company! Cute guy and charming photo.
@catsmeowb Oh boy..Hans has been baking for the last week or so..first it started out with fabulous banana bread..his own made up recipe. he adds dried currents, cranberries and a some crushed nuts.. now that we're closer to Christmas he started adding candied orange and lemon rinds to his concoction...(we have bulk barn stores where we buy all this stuff) everyone loves his banana bread..then he baked a lot of different cookies..of course he is into them already...so he should be sweet enough..I'm just afraid he puts the pounds on over Christmas.
