Shayelynne and her horse Georgia by bruni

Shayelynne and her horse Georgia

Oh what a pout....Shayelynne was a bit disappointed. she had been promised a riding lesson today, the first one after the birth of Georgia's foal Paradisa but because her horse had a bit of an infection and her shoes had to be taken off they couldn't ride today... not to worry Shayely at least she is out in the field and you can exercise her a bit by running around and Georgia can chase after you. of course we promised Shayely we'll come again to watch her when Georgia is ready.. it was nice though that we got to see her foal as well. afterward we all went out for a nice lunch.
Why the long face?

@bruni No , once a year after blooming cut the long stems. To overcome the winter takes a lot more

A cute capture, Bruni! I'm sure that she was smiling a few minutes later. I know how much they love their horses ... hopefully the infection will heal quickly! Glad that you enjoyed your time there and the lunch. :)

Well at least the visit was nice, and the ride can com eat a later time. I'm sure she left feeling ok about it all.

@digitalrn Rick she's just very moody lately..I guess it might have to do with puperty. she's going on 14. she is a typical teenager. thank you for the comment Rick.

What a great capture, Bruni. You got her looking so sad about not being able to ride today and captured a beautiful shot of her horse. So glad that you were there and will return when she can ride her horse and take some photos of the two of them then. Things happen in life and not much we can do about them. Sounds like fun to go out to lunch. I hope it cheered her up.

Interesting shot of them - funny how Paradisa is smiling but Shayelynne isn't!

She can always brush and play the friendly games

@alia_801 Hi Alia. thank you for commenting on my granddaughter ( she is going on 14 is a bit moody lately) her horse is Georgia.... Paradisa is the name of her foal. you've seen pictures of her before. with so many different horse pictures it's easy to mix up the names.

@alia_801 Here is the link for a picture of the foal

@peterdegraaff Thank you for the comment..you're so right. Peter she spends a lot of hours at the barn taking care of her horse and a few others. mucking the stalls and in general helping out in exchange for free lessons..so she could've been a bit tired. we got there by noon and all the work was done.also she is going on 14 and you know what teenagers are like at that age.

Fun capture Bruni- like Alia said- smiling horse; not smiling granddaughter! I remember my nieces feeling the same way at that age- both horse lovers!

The girl looks moody and disappointed, but the horse is coming to cheer her up! That's nice, specially at her age, they spend half the time feeling moody,
