We had such a bad storm last night so I wasn`t surprised to the the BBQ moved around and away from the railing. the cover was blown off too. This morning we had snowshowers and now it`s just plain raining. no white Christmas for us this year.
@pyrrhula Pyrrhula if we store it away Hans won't be able to BBQ during the wiinter month when we have a lovely day with lots of sun..the deck has a roof so the BBQ won't get snowed in.
No white Christmas for us either I think- although we did have some flurries today. We had winds last night too- but all they did was bring the temperature down!
@digitalrn The winds just whipped over the lake with such force.. right now as I'm sitting here I saw a snow plow go by..is he weatherman wrong with saying we have a wet Christmas..I am torn between a White Christmas and a wet one. for driving up North as we do on Christmas Eve a wet road might be safer..on the other hand it's so beautiful at my son's when it snowed. we always go with Michael and the dogs for a long walk around the huge property.
I am familiar with winds like you speak of and finding the cover of our BBQ in our pool. This is a great shot of it. It has been raining since early tonight but not as bad as they reported so we are glad about that. It has cooled to the low 40's and high 30's so it has been chilly here.
The wind was so bad, wasn't it Bruni? It hit us here too. Our power flickered but only slightly. I was hoping it wouldn't go out! We aren't due for a white one either, Bruni. I think this is a first for us... Usually we at least have a little dusting or something. I'm glad your grill didn't travel any farther than it did in the wind!
We have no white Xmas either. Rain it will be.
