Yesterday morning Hans and I were suppose to leave for our annual winter vacation. unfortunately I had to opted out. with the reduction of my heart medication which is experimental at this point I was too scared something might happen and since I'm not insured for my pre existing heart problem I found it too risky. my cardiologist agreed with me that it's better to wait awhile before travelling as he knows of people who had to pay astronomical amounts of money when requiring hospitalation in Mexico. believe me it wasn't easy to persuade Hans to go by himself but I felt he should get out of this winter climat as he is suffering with emphysema and the whole vacation was already booked last year in July and totally paid for inclucing our airline tickets.
I'm so sorry to hear that bruni, that had to be hard for you not to go. I do think you made the right decision. My late piano player, Ron, had a gall bladder removed on one of the small cities in Costa Rica, it got infected and he laid in a hotel room for a week afterwards waiting for the next ship to pass by. He was one sick person when he got home and went right to the hospital. I do like the lights in this picture, by the way.
@gijsje Bev if you mean Hans in Cancun and I at home..yes I'm sure he will enjoy it and I don't mind at all being by myself. often enough Hans is home when I go on a cruise with my daughter. I have enough friends and family who will keep me company. I like to thank you for the comment Bep and your concern.
Awww... So you're by yourself for a bit? You take care of yourself. I'm sure you can Skype or text with Hans while he's away. I'm glad you made him go. Sometimes it's good to get away on your own. If you want company just say the word. I'm up for a road trip. Nice shot, by the way. It looks quite busy!
I am glad that Hans got away to a warmer climate for a while. Sorry you did not get to go but you were very smart to stay home and take care of yourself. Very nice capture, Bruni.
How disappointing for you but a wise decision.
