Early morning moon shot.
I must say, I've a hard time referring to the moon at female. we learned in school that the moon was male and the sun female. just to make sure I'm not dreaming, I googled it and then I remembered a lovely song Conny Froboess sang in 1962. the song was called Lady Sunshine and Mr. Moon. I added the URL for you (although it's in German and most of you can't understand it, it's nice to listen to as it has a great rhythm. I know we used to danced to it.
Diana was goddess of the moon and the word "luna" has a feminine ending so I reject the idea of Mr. Moon. Although there is a Man in the Moon, I think he is just visiting the lady who lives there!
Oh dear- I can think of both male and female references to the moon. But I think I most often thought of it as male. What a fun video- was it part of a tv show or something? There seemed to be a story line between the singer and the fellow in the wings. Great shot Bruni!

@olivetreeann Ann, sorry for getting back to you just now. you asked if this video was from a performance. yes, a film called "Suendige" (suenden means to sin). the gist of the story is a long distance love affair. the sun and the moon are trying to get together, but can't as the sun gets up early in the morning and the moon late at night. so they're just dancing around each other. and yes you caught the interaction between the singer and the director, a famous actor known by the name of Peter Kraus.
btw Conny F. was the first child singer star in Germany's history.
@smithak It looks like that maybe in the European countries the sun is female and the moon male. it doesn't make any sense to me either why we call it here the other way around. thank you for your comment, always appreciated.
