My daughter Grace and I make a habit of getting together one afternoon just before Hans and I go on a trip. we decided to drive to Unionville for an outing. Unionville is a bit south/east of Newmarket. to our surprise there was a street fest in progress. Some of the roads were closed off and parking of course was a problem. Lots of people came out to enjoy the festivities. Since the weatherman had forecasted rain and the sky at that time was getting a bit dark we decided to have a quick at the lake first in case I wanted to take some pictures. The sky became more and more threatening. It was time to head back to the main street where there are lots of little stores, boutiques and restaurants. We just arrived when it came down in buckets. Quick, we went into one of the boutiques where we pretended to look at all the w a y overpriced items for sale. We felt bad for the street vendors as a lot of people headed home after the downpour.
