Church or factory.. by bruni

Church or factory..

..that is the question. A few days ago when walking in the forest I happen to look up and saw these funny looking buildings when I noticed what I thought was a church behind them. Hans said it looks like an old cloister....well now we were curious and had to investigate. when we got out of the forest, we tried to locate the street these buildings where on. It was quite a climb..way up high through curvy streets we climbed and finally reached an area which was more industrial than anything else. it turned out that these buildings we saw from way down belonged to a large hand saw and file factory. The slanted roofs of the buildings had huge sky lights to let day light in. ok, I can see that but what about the church steeple. when we approached some workers they just shrugged their shoulders and said, maybe whoever built this factory was a religious man.
both pictures on the left where taken in the forest and the others from the street.
Great shots

Very interesting and a great collage of those buildings. Towers often use as impression. Old town hall have them for this reason to.
Thanks for the great info

How interesting and fascinating. I am glad that you and Hans were able to get up to the top and ask about this building. It is beautiful as is your photo.

Nice shots, Bruni. Love that the steeple deceives and reveals something completely different then what you expected. Great building. You captured it well in all your shots.

I apologize for being late on comments. I have been a bit out of commission and am just catching up now. Thanks for understanding

Isn't it interesting that the people who work there don't have an interest in finding out more about their building. Love reading about your adventures.
