Dutch Treats anyone by bruni

Dutch Treats anyone

Saw this couple at the Carrot Festival and like to share it with you. I know, I had it also in my collage I posted, but I think it looks better in a single picture.

The women and men are baking ; `` poffertjes `` And old Dutch snack.
The display is to much `` Dutch`` in my opinion. To much for the tourist.
Did you taste them? A lovely capture / candid

I've never heard of a carrot festival but it reminds me of our years in Germany when all the local villages had lots of festivals, such as the Radish Festival, the Chicken Festival and my favourite the Spargel Festival!

Did you taste them? A lovely capture / candid- I don't know if it has anything to do with carrots..I'm not sweets and therefore didn't buy any poffertjes. also here is a link for my carrot festival collage: http://365project.org/bruni/nature-at-it-s/2013-08-17 @catsmeowb

@paulaw Paula, oh ye, we seen a lot of festivities driving around in Germany and omg they go absolutely creazy of spargel..the white kind. I like it but prefer the green sparger to the white. thank you for your comment.

@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. I already googled it in the meantime. Hans makes something similar to this with baking powder instead of yeast. and they are good too with powder sugar on top. sometimes he fills them with marmalade.

A great and interesting shot, I guess the poffertjes are made of carrots.

What a wonderful candid shot, Bruni. Love what they are wearing. Sounds like a wonderful thing to try and like what you said that Hans makes with marmalade. He sounds like quite the baker and cook.

Love it! Have you aver noticed how much more interesting 'peasants' hats are than 'the gentry's?
