I had to laugh Bruni! When we first moved in to this house the same thing happened to me, although I didn't see the woodpecker at first and I couldn't figure out where the pranksters were running to so quickly!! Fun collage.

@pyrrhula Well our kitchen overhang is made from cedar and if the woodpecker would keep it up for a long time he might make holes in the wood. he was only there for a few minutes. there're lots of trees for him around he can use. he wouldn't find any insects on our overhang anyway but thank you for caring.

@bruni I was thinking of Red Cedar timber. That`s a very soft timber and easy to pick holes in. And holes in timber increase it`s lifetime .

Great capture, Bruni! I have been hearing a woodpecker out back for days but can't find him because he's in the trees and I'm not about to wander into them! Love the collage! Great surprise to find when you open the door! Well done :)
