Make your own sausages

One of Hans’s Christmas presents last year was a sausage maker. to get started, Hans
Googled sausage making and found a meat processing supply company here in Toronto.
(www.yesgroup.ca). so yesterday, we paid them a visit and I was amazed at all they sell. of course I asked the friendly salesman if I could take some pictures. he was very obliging and posed for me with one of their best selling hamburger patty makers. he informed us if you buy this machine it would cost 14,000.00 dollars. why so expensive I asked, to which he replied: it’s the only hamburger patty machine which gives you have an option of patty sizes from four to sixteen ounces without exchanging any parts.
I was surprised, when we went through their plant of all the different items required to make sausages. rows on rows of spices for instance. unfortunately everything was packaged in large quantities. after giving us some recipe ideas, he also mentioned to try out a supermarket for the items we need. he said it would be a lot cheaper when buying small amounts. all we bought were the sausage casings and a pair of heat resisting gloves, but we were treated like regular, valued customers.
this new hobby should keep Hans out of mischief for a while!..:)

My son-in-law is a chef in Boston who is skilled at sausage making. Since my daughter is a vegetarian, it is a funny combination!

I really like that the place looks spotless! They seem to take a lot of pride in what they do and the people they serve. Which leads me to believe they will be quite successful! Nice collage!
