Yes the kids had a snow day yesterday, no school. there was a severe weather warning out for Toronto, lots of snow and very strong winds not to mention freezing cold. I had an appointment with a Podiatrist in Newmarket. have to start wearing orthotics due to a condition called metatarsalgia. quite painful. the last couple of days on our cruise I could hardly walk. once home, I made an appointment with my doctor, got some X-rays done and later an appointment with a podiatrist. at my first visit I was measured for the orthotics and yesterday they were ready for me for a fitting. oh boy, it will take time to get use to walking on them.
@pyrrhula Ferry. these pictures are straight out of the camera, no processing. like I said, it was blistery winter storm you could hardly see where you were driving.
Oh my- if I saw that much snow again, I'd have to go on anti-depressants! I hope your orthotics do the trick once you get used to them. That name of that condition sounds as painful as you say it feels!
A lovely snowy collage and I like that little pop of red :-) I am not familiar with that foot condition, but I sure do hope the orthotics correct or at least relieve the problem . I wish you well.
They say an army moves on its belly, but I say if your feet hurt, life isn't worth living. Hope the orthotics help. When does the snow let up in your area? You must be mighty tired of it by now.
@allie912 Allison, we drove by construction sites and guys in bulldozers and other heavy machinery were working in this weather mind you we didn't see any carpenters or roofers.
we're still in the minus today. minus 1 C this morning, sunny but awful windy and going down to -15 C (5 degree F) over night. so a far fetch still from Spring.
A wonderful collection of snow scenes! - our lack of snow in York this winter means I haven't taken a single snow shot this year. I hope that you see spring soon. I also hope that your foot recovers quickly.
Great shots, Bruni! It hit here too! I have to wear orthotics myself. My chiropractor had me do the fittings. I have a pair for my sneakers and for my boots. You will get used to them. It should help your lower spine if that has ever been an issue for you. As for this snow... I hope it goes away! Well done on the collage :)
