First tryout by bruni

First tryout

Do you remember Hans getting a sausage maker for Christmas. well, today was his first try making sausages from scratch. after buying some pork and cutting it into tiny pieces, adding some sausage meat, milk powder, spices incl. lots of garlic and liquid honey, he put everything through the meat grinder, attached the sausage casings and filled them. I helped him tying strings around the desired length of the sausages and after packaging them in two's they went into the freezer. of course, we had some fried for lunch. boy were they ever so tasty.
Remind me when I was a boy of 12 to 15 years old I work, to earn some money,(in my free from school time,) in a small butchers workshop making Frankfutters.
You both are doing a nice and great job. Wish I could taste them.

Lovely collage, we may have to have sausages for tea but I bet they don't taste as nice as these. Katharine

Sausage is one of those meats that you can do so much with. they are good additives to soups, and casseroles, a good idea

I'm truly not a foodie. At first glance, the sausages reminded me of something else! lol .. yeah I have a very naughty mind. That's cool you make it yourself. Saves money that way!
