This is one of those compositional choices that is totally up to you. It could go larger and it could stay this size. Personally I like it this size and it works in your favor because it's a nice white against the red background. Well done Bruni!
Nice shot, Bruni! I like it this size. The flower against the red background perfectly contrast with each other. The background has texture. Is it a scarf that you laid a small flower on or did you use editing to get the background to look like that? I have never tried minimalist. I have done negative space with a bottle with a face on it. I can't remember if that is in my 1st, 2nd or 3rd year. I'll find it and if it's not already posted, I will repost it to the proper album so you can see. I really like this shot. Well done :) Fave :)

I kept two red placements from Christmas handy to use for such a picture like this. the flower is from my Irish Shamrock plant.. so glad you like it and nice to see a fav. on this picture. thank you Bev. we're off to meet with our and Ann's (my daughter in law) family for Christmas.
