Last night we walked down to Lake. our Park had a BBQ and later firework. this is the first time I tried the firework setting on my PowerShot A2400IS pocket size camera. I took quite a few pictures, but missed most of the firework as the camera took a long time in between me pressing the button and the picture materializing. then most the time I didn't aim fast enough to get another round. this is one of the better ones. I will post a small collage with some of the ones I thought weren't good enough and like your opinion, if you don't mind. they'll be in album two, give me a minute to get the collage ready.
Looks a great nice fire work to me by the looks on this great capture.
If you stand in the dark you can use the timer and hope of a nice big splash in the pic.
That is one of the frustrating features of my Powershot too. One way around it is to set the shutter on rapid fire. It means a lot of deleting after up loading but in the end you get more pictures that are usable. This one turned out nice.
Great shot, Bruni! If you have a PowerShot and a fireworks setting (which I am hoping I've got too!!!), you should be able to use a setting that will take multiple shots in one go. You have to use the button in the center to bring up a side menu and a bottom menu and there should be a setting that looks like 3 "pieces of paper". That should work with any setting. You always have to take a lot when it comes to this or lightening (trust me on the lightening - I've done that before!!! And can't wait to try it with this camera!!!!) and you will have blanks or bad ones. There's nothing predictable when it comes to fireworks. But you did a great job. I like it! I'm faving it for you.
@prttblues Thank you Bev. I will look at the camera tomorrow and try to figure it our. I'm just so glad I got some shots at least. 5 good ones in over 90 pictures. most were blanks. I just kept on clicking away.
What a great shot, Bruni. I fail totally even in the fireworks burst mode. My fireworks always come out blurry. We did not do fireworks tonight so I did not take any photos. The fireworks on my post today, July 4th is from Picmonkey.com. FAV
