While my American friends celebrated their 4th of July - Independence Day, Hans and I visited a friend who recently moved to Orillia. we spent some time enjoying the waterfront (Top of Lake Simcoe) - (we live at the bottom end of the lake over an hour's drive from home) and later we the festivities at the Folk Festival. they always have some wonderful art displays. every year some different. the little cottage you see in front of this collage is one of Orillia`s most celebrated bakeshop, a quaint café, a fudge and candy shop, a home decorating store, and a shop for handmade soaps and candles. you`ll discover a store full of unique find food products just like your Great Grandma used to make. this wonderful place draws us back year after year. it`s family owned and operated. the Mariposa Market will carry you back to the main street general store of yesteryear. I took some picture of the inside of the store, will display them tomorrow.
we`re off to the Beaches in Toronto now.
