Can you identify. by bruni

Can you identify.

Found this flower at a the edge of a property. first I thought it looks like a Black Eyed Susan, but the pedals look different and the shape is more like cone flower.

Allison has just identified this flower as a Rudbeckia Tribola or better known as a three-lobed Coneflower.
Lovely shot and I love the pretty sunny colors.

I call it a pretty yellow flower. Sorry I'm not much help.

Looks similar to what we call Black-eyed Susans. I planted them because they're pretty & I was told that they're hardy (I have no green thumb). The next year they'd taken over the universe.

We have these in our school garden and you are right, they are not exactly like black-eyed susans or cone flowers. I will ask our resident expert and get back to you!

My late father-in-law gave us some of these when we were setting up our old garden from scratch and I always loved them. Sadly we don't have any in our current garden. Such striking flowers.

@paulaw yes, Paula, they're beautiful and I'm trying to figure out where to plant some. my garden is very small. it's like if I love something new, something has to go to make room for it.

Oh that must be a hard decision. From what I remember they weren't small and needed a fair amount of space. Very striking though.

Great shot, Bruni. It does look like a Cone Flower but with bigger petals. It looks like a crossbred flower. Lovely capture.
