Under the pier by bruni

Under the pier

It was my intention to post this picture yesterday and when I was looking for it, I couldn't find it. I think it shows the activity under the pier a lot better than the one I did post.
What are all the buckets for - other than for putting a plank on to sit on?

Interesting how they do this. Nice to see how life actually is and get away from the touristy areas.

@darsphotos Darlene this picture goes together with the last 3 if you click on Latest from All Album. this is right in the touristy area underneath a pier. this is their business. catching, cleaning and either selling or serving oysters to locals and of course to the tourist. I find their life very interesting and we see a lot of it, just by walking the Malecon/ Boardwalk.
thank you for your visit and comment. hope you don't mind me pointing out the sequence of these pictures.

@bruni I have been having iPhoto and computer problems. My son is staying with us as his girlfriend had her thyroid radiated to destroy it and cannot be near anyone for 4 days so he is here and has been working on my computer. He just transferred iPhoto to a laptop he has and it is working well. Next I have to move all my desktop things to an external hard drive, then he will take my desktop home and clear it of everything, put memory in it and put my photos and desktop things on it as well. I am having such a hard time with my computer and cannot view photos on here easily so I apologize. It is really interesting to see what they do. I think i commented on all three photos but at the moment cannot move to them. Hoping tonight or tomorrow I will be set up with his laptop and things will work better for me. I hope you are having a wonderful time, Bruni and feeling great.

@darsphotos Hi Darlene. having computer problems isn't so nice. I know how that affects us. if it wasn't for Hans, I would be in trouble quite often. we took our laptop along and the whole right site of the screen is blacked out and blue stripes are running down from the top so that the picture I upload doesn't show up properly and I've to kind off guess what my picture really looks like color wise etc. in 2010 when we were in Germany the laptop was in our carryon luggage and instead of going into the overhead impartment in the plane they took it off us and it went in the belly of the plane. we only saw the damage the day after we got home late at night. airline said they were not responsible for the damage. so Hans bought me a fair size tv screen and a separate keyboard for at home and here we use the laptop as it is. no use buying a new one, we don't travel that much and it still works otherwise. hope the picture I posted so far look ok

Beautiful view on the people and what they are doing

@bruni I am glad to have my son to help me. You are very lucky to have Hans right there with you to help. What a shame about your laptop being damaged like that. I am glad you have a great setup at home to use. I do to but it will go out the door with my son tomorrow. He will leave his laptop on top of a box for me and I will use the keyboard I always use. Your photos look great, Bruni. I would never know that your laptop is having problems. I agree since you do not travel that much that you may not want to spend the money to replace yours. I think the airline should have replaced it for you or given you the money to replace it. I have to catch up with your photos.
