When asked, I was told that every Sunday here in the city of Puerto Vallarta, two lanes of a 8 lane "main" street through town are being barricaded off for vehicular traffic for Sports Sunday.. we were trying to catch a bus when we saw a lot of young people lined up behind a marching band and were wondering what was going on. we then drove past people either walking or riding their bikes down a 2 lane road. now this went on for at least and I'm guesstimating 5 to 7 km down the street. at one time we passed the cut off point where the cars were allowed back on the road. oh, I forgot to mention, we were on our way by bus to Sayulita, a famous tourist area known as a Surfer's Paradise. picture to follow.
What great timing, Bruni. Nice thing for them to do on Sundays. It must be so interesting to be there long enough to see how life really is on a day to day basis. Nice shot. The weather looks great too.
Great capture, Bruni. Looks like they are enjoying their parade down the street. That's a really cool tradition. I look forward to seeing your shot of Surfer's Paradise!
