The peonies are all in bloom and hanging heavy with all the rain we had overnight and it hasn't stopped yet. I noticed one had broken off with three still closed buds. I thought I try to see if it would open unfold in a vase. last night one pedal stood up and this morning to my surprise I found one perfect bloom. I'll post the vase in my second album.
yellow with a rose blush? how very lovely, have never seen one like this, mine are the common pink/white ones. this is so very beautiful, Bruni. i have been surprised to see the flowers coming in now as much as they are, although my bleeding hearts are not as full or hearty as normal. the rest, though, seem ok.
@catsmeowb I have a red and a white bleeding heart and it's the same here. I'm sure they'll do better next year. our last winter was just too harsh. the peony is a new one, first year, my others are plain light pink and the other a darker shade. will upload a picture of that one for you to see in my album 3.
