On my walk down the street this morning I noticed there was only one flower on this bush. it's usually full with them. also there were no more buds that I saw and some of the branches were dead. all a sign of the harsh winter we had. on the bottom of the picture you see some cone flowers and if you should wonder why the house looks so funny, well I always forget to go back to the proper setting after I had the camera in fish-eye effect.
i, too, like how the fish-eye give the shot a different feel. pulls our eyes into the photos. very nice shot, Bruni. I have been seeing the same thing here with my flowers. so many simply are not blooming while others are out in abundance. so strange.
WOW ,,BRUNI ,HOW SAD.DO YOU CUT THEM DOWN AFTER THE BLOOMS ARE GONE ? I DO I TRIM THEM DOWN ABOUT A FOOT OR TWO EVERY FALL OR EARLY SPRING .THIS WILL MAKE THEM STRONGER AND IT NEVER FAILS FOR ME.WE.HAD A VVRY BAD WINTER AND THEY ALL CAME BACK STRONG.TOMORROW I WILL BE POSTING AS MANY BUSHES THAT I CAN AND YOU WILL SEE HOW STRONG AND HEALTHY THEY LOOK.TRIMMING THEM DOWN IS A MUST AFTER THEIR BLOOMS.IF I DON'T DO IT THE FALL I DO IT IN THE EARLY SPRING FOR SURE.IT WILL BOUNCE BACK .
@demelo Thank you so much for your advise. Ann, this isn't our bush, but our neighbor has one too and I'll tell her it. the once in my picture is further down our street and I'll keep my eyes open to see if they trim it in the fall. thanks again for your comment and advise.
