Christmas display by bruni

Christmas display

What a day we had yesterday. first the long hours at the ER and in the late evening an unbelievable rain storm. Hans likes to go out on the deck to watch the rain and thunder. now you must know, our deck sticks out 12 feet and is 25 feet long and has a roof. to the 12 feet and 25 add another 2 feet roof overhang. when Hans opened the door, I was right behind him, the rain hit us in the face. I looked down and saw my Christmas display, which was hanging which is hanging on the brick wall next to the sliding doors, on the floor of the deck right in front of my feet. my first thought was, oh I bet the two Christmas ornaments are broken. well no, they survived. to make matters worse though, my huge display I the alcove received so much water that the bottom of the pot gave away and everything fell out. we had to pick it all up and carry it to the deck for me to start over again oh what fun it is..........
Wow, that must have been some storm you had. I am sorry you have to start over on your display. But I look forward to seeing pictures of it!

Great record of this wild wet weather. Disappointing to have to start again but at least the ornaments are still in one piece and the lights are working.

@bruni Thanks dear Bruni. On the right there is grass. Dikes nearly always are planted with that . In front , it`s resting soil and on you left hand side I think winter wheat .

This looks beautiful. I'm so sorry the storm messed it up, and also that you had to visit the ER. Hope you are okay.

ER visits are all so very long. I am sorry you had to go through that and hope you are doing a lot better. Will check your comments on your previous photo. I had two Dr appointments today, Vascular and Pulmonary. What a long day. They still do not know why I suddenly have problems breathing but have found an inhaler that helps me a lot so I use it once a day in the morning when I get up. It is not fair that anyone has to deal with medical but we do and we move forward too. Hugs and thinking of you. Love your photo by the way. We have rain starting tomorrow possibly through Christmas. We need it.
