Who says the female cardinal isn't pretty

She was sitting at the feeder and I tried to get a good picture of here. I think she saw me move the camera and took off. this is how I caught her.
I cropped the picture in picasa and made it a bit lighter to bring out more of the wing details.

Hans finally has a new date for the hernia operation (arrival at the hospital Wednesday late afternoon and procedure Thursday morning) and with his bad luck lately, he woke up this morning with a terrible bout of vertigo. I guess, I've to call in and postpone his procedure.
