Look at all those tree cones

The cones were all piled up under this tree and we saw more sights like this one. again, this was at Edwards Botanical Gardens.

Hans had his operation early this morning and is doing fine.

WOW,,,THAT IS A LOT OF THEM ,,,THEY SAY LOTS OF PINE CONES MEANS LOTS OF SNOW.. WE DID NOT HAVE THAT MANY AT ALL THIS PAST FALL AND LOOK WE HAD A MILD WINTER. YEAH ! I AM GLAD TO HEAR YOUR HUSBAND IS DOING FINE. GREAT SHOT

Oh, someone must have gathered them up in a heap - they wouldn't fall from a big tree right there! Thought they were maggots at first and so glad to find they were NOT!

@demelo I know that saying too and you're right we had a mild winter this year. Sure would like to know what this Botanical Garden is doing with them or if they're pilled up to be either burned or used for something else.

A great find and a great capture of it. As a florist I`ve used many of them in Christmas arrangement.
