A new addition to my son's log home

Bruce, our son who built his own log home years ago is constantly building on or changing layouts of existing rooms, incl. building on to the kitchen at one time. here you see his latest addition. a sun room from which I took the pictures of the pool and sitting area I posted Sunday. Ann's wish for a place large enough to seat all her guest at one table is in the making. Bruce built an extension to the back of their home. he had in mind to add a pool room which could substitute for a dining area at times. for now he put up two large tables and bought some folding chairs, which will come in handy anytime. this room is winterized and the floor is heated. lots of light and warmth comes through the many windows. for the first time, all of us sat together at ONE table and not spread out over kitchen and combined dining room. when looking through the back sliding door you see their actual dining room.
This looks fabulous - seating for 16! And it will be wonderful in the winter as well!

@allie912 Yes Allison and it was great to have all 23 people around the table. some had to squeeze together, but we all managed.

@olivetreeann and stupid me, I didn't take any pictures during or after the meal. I had a good excuse though. I wasn't feeling too good. in the early morning at 4 am I woke up with a cramp in my leg. I tried to walk it out and since it didn't go away, I sat down and started massaging my leg. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden there was a lot blood on the floor. it came spurting out like crazy. I couldn't stop it. I called Hans and he put pressure on it and bandaged it up real tight, we still called the ambulance, but they said he did a great job and got it to stop bleeding, no need to go to the hospital. I lost a lot of blood though and was woozy all morning. we did make it up to Bobcaygeon by lunchtime. I was a bit more sat back than usual, but all understood why. when we got home we took the bandage off and I just put a sock on. I was fine all day Sunday until I went to get undressed and pulled down a pair of jeans and the bleeding started all over again. what a mess. will have to make an appointment and speak to our family doctor. we're talking major artery in leg here.

@bruni It's late Monday evening as I'm reading this so I truly hope you were able to see the doctor today and sort things out. I'm so sorry you're having this trouble and hopefully the doctors will know what's wrong and what to do about it immediately. I will be praying for you and keep me posted as to how you feel!

@olivetreeann Yesterday was Thanksgiving day and doctor's offices are closed. I could've gone to the ER at the hospital, but from what the paramedics said, they wouldn't do anything. they said that they don't do any cauterizing but just like us put a pressure bandage on. this morning, I'll call for an appointment. will keep you posted. thanks Ann.
