Every picture is a memory

On an early morning I just stepped out of our condo unit using sliding door and walked across the grass wet with dew. I crossed the road and looked around the lake front for geese or ducks. out of corner of my eye, I saw something and when I turned towards it, I spied this blue heron staring straight ahead.

You wouldn't have your tripod with you so this focus is pretty good. These herons seem to be in so many different countries!

@maggiemae I have 2 tripods. one we bought here and one we bought in Germany on vac. both are collecting dust. I do all of my pictures including moon shot free handed.

What a great capture, Bruni. I have seen one here in Elk Grove too and had to ask what it was. Very interesting to watch them stand so still. FAV
