...can one say that about a funeral. my son's mother-in-law battled cancer. she was given very little time, but was determind to make it till her granddaughter, Britney gave birth to our little Heidi (born March 26). Marion passed away this Tuesday and the funeral was yesterday.
It was a beautiful celebration of life with much laughter, songs, a bagpiper and all her grandchildren present given a beautiful eulogy.
afterwards we all got together for a toast to Marion with a glass of a very smooth Scottish Bourbon.
the food served was plentiful and very tasty.
it seemed like hours and no-one made a move to go home.
Here you see me with little Heidi sitting close to the TV screen showing pictures of Marion and her beautiful family.
Sending my condolences to your family. It is a lovely testimony that she was determined to be there for Heidi's birth and that her family had so much to say on her behalf- it shows how much her love will live on. Sweet shot Bruni!
Lovely portrait shot of grandma and granddaughter. Sad to lose people you have appreciated for so many years. Yesterday I went to the funeral of my wife's uncle who was her Best-man at our wedding. He was 95 but I remember him in his better days as a very affable man.
