Fairy Lake - 4 - Too early-too soon

Still strolling alonge the boardwalk at Fairy Lake.

It's way too early for brown leaves on this bush. the berries in blue (not to mix up with adible blue berries) are most likely poisonous and the birds won't touch them.
Nice capture. Wild berries should not be poisonous...that's just no fair to the birds. Smile.

Good shot- are you experiencing the same heat wave conditions we have here? Thankfully we get rain mixed in with it. But south of us is not getting much rain at all. Crazy weather!

I thought the berries were grapes, only the leaves are very different to those of the grape vine. The blue of the berries makes such a great contrast with the surrounding greenery.

Unusual that berries that are inedible to humans won't be eaten by the birds. These look like they might be sloe berries xx

@henrir @carolmw @joemuli @ideetje @mittens @stownsend @olivetreeann @sangwann Sorry for not addressing you individually, but I thought you might like to know that I received a comment iditifying the berries. they're edible by birds and humans. the berry is called sloe berry and is often used to make sloe gin. I find it very interesting as my husband makes "SCHNAPS" from vodka, fruit and sugar.
