Once again the Pig would not come in from the garden and wanted to point out something behind the BBQ.
And once again, she helped to save a baby bird, this time a little sparrow.
I think we found the nest in the hedge to the left of the garden, I put it on the lawn and it bounced off under the hedge, swiftly followed by a pair of sparrows.
I can hear them all chirping as I type this.
Awwww, so cute, poor thing!!! I've hand-raised quite a few of these little sparrow chicks... Fed them on Pronutro, a ceral-porridge we have here.

I imagine the wee guy thought his life expectancy was only seconds - but what an amazing dog your Pig is! I love the expression on the birds face and the beautiful detail as well as the lovely story-line - fav.
We have been out to check and the good news is there are load of sparrows about , Pig went straight to the bush next to where we left him and we could hear him chirp.
