The double path continuing on to the treeline beyound the "tufty bits" really stimulates the urge to "see beyond" the scene - Initially I saw the thumbnail and being a product of a very confused/confusing culture thought "corn" and then - with some trepidation - "where are the children" - possibly as a result I perceive this as beautifully serene.

I know what you mean about the leading path(s), but unfortunately the path leads to the edge of the fields and there is a small industrial estate just behind the trees.
