Apr 26: Birthday

I think Mrs B loves Chris more than me. It is my birthday today and she brought him a new cottage. He doesn't even look that pleased with it!
In actual fact, we saw these a couple of weeks ago at a craft fair and they are lovely little handmade wooden pastille burners, so yes that is real smoke coming out of the chimney and now my house smells of Roses.

You’ve taught me something new. I’ve got these two small porcelain houses from Germany, and an earth ware house from Latvia. I’ve always though they were meant for tea candles… could their origin actually be as pastille burners?
