Wally the Wall-Bird by bulldog

Wally the Wall-Bird

Top: Prior to Todays Main Shot, when the mummy Sparrow was desperately poking food through the air vent.

Middle: After taking three bricks out, we left it to the daddy bird to encourage the hungry chick out.

Bottom: and it wasn't long before mum came back with another testy morsel.
What a great story of rescue!

In a week of unbearable human cruelty.....there are wonderful people like you that start wrecking their house to rescue a little scrap - you star!

A wonderful story. You are a hero. I wonder how the little sparrow got in there in the first place

Well done! What a hero for saving the baby sparrow. Just how did it get there though?

Sweet capture. What a story. Sorry about the bricks though.

Unbelievable. How did he get in there? Did you have to fight off the parents while you were trying to do the rescue?

Hi all, thank you for your comments. We think he probably got in through the eves and then fell down the cavity wall, Once he was on the ground, he just searched for light.
An update on the story, Wally is still sheltered where he was lst night, just under some wood, leaning against the wall and mum has been to see him this morning.

Great triptych. How many lives does a sparrow have?
