beautiful reflection! The rule of thirds is if you divided your picture into squares like if you were playing X's and O's, your main subject should be at one of the intersecting points not right in the middle. He is a site that explains it. http://www.digital-photography-school.com/rule-of-thirds
@gphelps5 Sometimes rules are meant to be broken or can't be followed. The main thing I try to remember is not to put my horizons straight across the middle. In a lot of reflection shots you really don't have a lot of choice.
