First we went to see my Father in Barnet for coffee and cake, then it was over to our friends Su & Ian ( @whysu ) for wine and a BBQ. After a great afternoon (and a lot of cupcakes) we headed home to find this t-shirt, a present from my son Luke.
The bracelets are from another of my boys and yes he brought two. The story behind this is that when he was in Junior school (about ten years ago) he was having a few problems and I made two rope bracelets, one for him and one for me. The idea was that when he was feeling low he could play with his bracelet, think of me and know that I would always be thinking of him. Over time, these have been broken or lost but we have always both made or brought replacements.
On Friday, just before he headed off for the weekend, he gave me these new ones for fathers day and we both put them on.
