This is a loveyl little garden in the middle of uxbridge where a lot of people stop to have their lunch.
There is some information about the ground as you walk in and is says it was given to the church for burial by 'Henry, Earl of Darby, Lord of Stanly and Strange Lord of Man and the Isles, Knight of the most noble Order of the Garter' (That's a long name), in 1576’. The churchyard was officially closed in 1855 and is now a garden of rememberance.
I have not done the 'Angel of Peace' justice as she stands on the top of the War Memorial, perched on a mound with military accoutrements, her wings still raised and partly spread, one hand raised and holding a wreath, the other lowered and holding a small branch.
I will have to return to take a better shot of her.
